The 5th edition of the annual Southern Sun Ikoyi Golf Tournament will hold at the Lakowe Lakes Golf Course on November 11, the management of the hotel has said.
The tournament, which held at the Ikoyi Club 1938 in the past four years, was moved to the Lakowe course “in order to create more excitement for the players.”
The hotel’s General Manager, Mr Mark Loxley, told journalists in Lagos on Monday that proceeds from the event would go to Arrows of God Orphanage as part of the hotel’s corporate social responsibility.
Loxley said, “The tournament is not a commercial effort but a corporate means of expressing gratitude to our sponsors and clients. It will be special as individual scoring will be recognised in the two hole-in-one challenges. The proceeds from the tournament will go to the Arrows of God Orphanage.”
No fewer than 72 golfers are expected to feature in the event as winners of the hole-in-one challenges will go home with new cars.
